Creating INCON International Limited into its current form has been a true authentic and enjoyable experience for me. I have had my share of challenges and directing it today continues to be a challenge. I must say, however, what has taken INCON to the next level is the inner drive to stand out and offer best services which allow for smooth running of our clients’ operations
To say the least, the global economy has brought a plethora of vast opportunities for social and economic development in the emerging economies of the Middle East and Africa. I now have channels to avail of various resources from around the world to cater for the needs of a single project in the region in the most effcient and effective way possible.
Today, for instance, I can combine the project management expertise of a consultancy in Australia with the plant design from a company in Norway, equipment from a manufacturer in Germany or China, the experience of engineers from the UAE or UK, and finance from China or international banks to build a small factory or a mega infrastructure project in Nigeria within budget and up to the specifications of the client, plus added-values.
The purpose is to put together the most synergetic line-up of qualified providers in terms of machinery and equipment, finance, technical knowledge, expertise, quality and cost to suit the requirements of every individual project.
Such a scenario needs a high degree of market and industry knowledge to make the right selection of stakeholders and resources, coordinate work and ensure successful completion of the project, not only to serve the immediate needs of the project, but also to take into account the long-term needs of the community in question. INCON International Limited has made this role its niche.
Corporate social responsibility, preservation of the environment and sustainability are part of everything we do, whether in the kind of development projects I undertake, the use of clean and renewable energy sources in plants we build, or our focus on recycling plants.
More than anywhere else in the world, the resources-rich emerging economies in the Middle East and Africa need assistance in such infrastructure projects to fuel growth towards economic sustainability and prepare the ground to become the powerhouses of the future. I am proud to contribute to this development, and I look forward to more challenging projects in every single country in the two regions.
